Precise Central Metering

Simple Calibration
Sow with outstanding uniformity

Precise control of the sowing rate and an even spacing of seed in the rows is essential in modern cereal growing.

The central metering unit precisely meters all seed types at rates from 2 to 400kg/ha. The seed is metered into a high speed air stream which transports the seed to a distribution unit then on to the individual coulters.

A simple calibration procedure ensures fast and accurate setting of the sowing rate. The central feed roll allows accurate metering with only small quantities of seed in the hopper, and any resisual can be easily emptied by opening a flap for fast change over between seed types.

KRM Elite Coulter
Elite tine coulters are mounted in three rows on equal length arms. Pressure is supplied by a heavy duty spring positioned at a shallow angle below the tine. This geometry ensures that for each movement of the tip the coresponding deflection of the spring is small resulting in more even presure and therefore depth. This system works equally well when shallow drilling (rape) or deep drilling (peas) as well as in varying soil conditions.

 
 
KRM 799 Drill

Heavy duty Elite tine coulters mounted in three rows make this drill ideal for plough based or Min-Till applications.

Available in 4, 4.5, 4.8, 5 and 6 meter widths. The 799 can be used as a solo drill or fitted with a cultivator for increaced versatility.

Two rows of heavy duty, auto reset tines for inital loosening and mixing of the seed bed.
Two rows of adjustable ange spring tines to level an firm prior to sowing.
Three wide stagger (40cm) rows of Elite coulters for precise depth.
Finally two rows of robust following harrow to ensure a level seedbed finish.

KRM 1706 Integrated Drill

Specially developed with integral chassis design for extra close coupling to power harrows or cultivators for reduced tractor lift capacity.

Available with suffolk or disc coulters. These have extra clearance for Min-Till or conventional seedbeds and extra pressure for positive penetration and reduced coulter bounce at higher forward speeds.

 
 

KRM 901 Trailed Drill

Available in 6 or 8 meter working widths these heavy duty, high capacity seed drills use the same Elite coulter as the 799 to provide a high output low cost system of crop establishment. Suitable for both Min-Till and plough based systems.
