This set up features 6 carbide coated vanes per disc and uses an adjustable down shute for exact positioning of fertilizer on the disc for maximum accuracy. A stainless steel hoop on top of the disc further helps to control the flow of material.
The headland system works with the 18-36m kit to limit the spread of material to the field boundary. The system works by reducing the speed of the headland side disc and altering the point where fertiliser hits the disc. The unit pictured has a single belt drive, its also available with twin belt drive.
As standard all Bredal spreaders are supplied with the wide lime kit. This kit is suitable for spreading lime up to 16m and base fertilisers up to 24. This kit utilises a fixed down shute and four vanes per disc.
For heavy wet materials Bredal offer a reverse drive kit. As the name suggests the disc's spin backwards resulting in material being on the disc for a shorter period of time. In addition the down shute is much steeper allowing wet material to flow more easily on to the disc's. Reverse drive can be achieved by fitting a reversing gearbox on to the standard spinner box or with a reverse drive spinner box.
For spreading very abrasive materials such as sand Bredal offer rubber coated disc's and vanes. The disc's spin backwards as in the reverse drive kit and the same steep down shute is used.
This easy to fit salt spreading kit turns your Bredal into a road gritter, the low height at which it puts salt on to the surface prevents damage to other vehicles. The speed of the hydraulically driven disc can be adjusted to alter the spread width. To facilitate driving on the left and spreading across the whole road the unit can be moved right to left which offsets the spread pattern.
Weigh cells are available as an option on all Bredal spreaders. The trailed machines use four 10 ton load cells to accurately monitor the weight in the hopper. In addition to displaying the exact load in the hopper, the system is able to calculate new flow factors for the product being spread to ensure optimum accuracy.
To protect the hopper contents a hopper cover can be supplied. Two types are available, a roll over sheet and a hydraulically opening version as pictured. The ability to open the cover simply by operating a spool in the cab significantly reduces down time while loading.
All Bredal machines can be fitted with a hopper extension to increase capacity. The extensions give approximately 20% more capacity (depending on the model) and can be manufactured as part of the hopper cover or as a separate item.
As standard key parts of all Bredal machines are manufactures from stainless steel, these include; rear door, floor belt frame, lighting kit, down shute, guarding etc. For the ultimate in easy cleaning and long life a fully stainless steel hopper can be specified.
Fitting a crane to the machines means one man can be fully self sufficient. This system eliminates the need for a separate loader which can be inconvenient to move around and costly to maintain. Many contractors find its a quicker system to operate than using a front end loader, as the machine is not constantly having to be constantly re-hitched. Loading the machine in this way also means that the maximum load can always be carried with less risk of spillage while loading for a neater job.
A choice of control systems is available.
A cylinder mounted between a special frame on the front of the Bredal chassis and the back of the tractor is pressurized through an accumulator. This system significantly reduces bounce when traveling over rough ground thus easing operator fatigue and improves traction in tough conditions
Our standard turf dresser is based around the K40 machine, however any model can be adapted for this purpose. All hydraulics are removed from the machine by using PTO power to drive both the disc's and floor belt. The disc's and vanes used are rubber coated for longer life.
The sand conveyor can be added to a K65 and can be interchanged with the standard spinner box allowing the machine to be utilized for a wider range of purposes.
To facilitate variable rate spreading all Bredal machines can be supplied with an automatic control kit. As with all Bredals this system allows an application rate to be maintained regardless of forward speed.
Calibration is simply a case of entering the bulk density of the material being spread into the control box.
The in cab control box allows the operator to manually adjust the application rate and can be linked into GPS systems to facilitate variable rate spreading. In addition the system also monitors; disc speed, material flow rate, area worked, time worked, theoretical tonnage spread.
The automatic control kit can be linked into several GPS units to provide auto on/off. This system automatically switches the machine on and off at the optimal point to ensure no overlaps or misses and reduce operator fatigue. Furthermore when spreading irregular shaped fields the system can alter the spread width of the machine to suit the area being spread, this feature is also useful when a narrow tramline is encountered.
All KRM Bredal spreaders can now be supplied ISOBUS ready. Easy and logical operation have always been key guidelines in the development of our electronic controllers. To continue this strategy the ISOBUS solution displays the same easily understandable graphical layout on the tractors terminal.
